Julie has been with SFHDI for over decade and she identifies it as being one of the best networking groups to which she's belonged. She joined in 1999 when she transitioned from a Call Center manager to a Help Desk manager. When her mentor took her to her first HDI meeting, she couldn't believe how many other people she met who were dealing with the same issues she was addressing with her own Help Desk. What knowledge, what resources, and what a great group of people to call your network.
Julie joined the SFHDI Board in 2003 as VP of Finance. She’s seen the ups and downs, the in sourcing and outsourcing of quite a few Help Desks in our industry. She's had the pleasure of leading Help Desks teams at Providian Financial (once WAMU now CHASE Bank), Computer Sciences Corporation, UC Berkeley, Siemens Business Services and Mervyns. Julie now manages a Help Desk team for the State of California’s Judicial Branch, supporting the internal divisions of the Administrative Office of the Courts.
When she's not at work, Julie volunteers with a variety of Bay Area non profits, swims, likes to read and spend quality time with her family and friends. |
